Encounter with Demons

Demons are intimidating spirits yet they are weak and powerless to a word-filled man of God. In my encounter with demons that had wrecked havoc in the life of a relative, I learnt a lot. The demons had literally bound the woman's faculties and she could no longer reason well. Not only that, but her physical body had seriously been attacked and there was pain in every organ of her body. She had lost weight, memory and hope.

It was on the 19th of March 2021, when together with my wife, Victoria set off for Seke Chitungwiza, a town some 27 kms from Harare. We armed ourselves with anointing water that I had collected from my altar. The previous day was something else ( a story for another day).

Thereat, we alighted our ailing nissan xtrail vehicle and made it into the house where our sick relative was. Without much ado, we were shown where she laid helplessly in agony. Indeed she was frail and worn out.

The sight triggered compassion inside of me, immediately I burst into prayer. I started commanding the foul spirit that was responsible for her predicament. Sooner than later, the woman began wailing and hissing. I knew the fire of the Holy Spirit had begun tormenting the demons in her.

The demons wanted to fight back. Only they could do was to threaten with unspecified action. Relentlessly, I increased the Holy-Spirit-Fire on the woman and she responded by out-burst of speeches, begging me to leave her alone.

The demons were in for a fix, this I knew. The threats were empty talk and I had quickly picked this and never gave up. I ordered the demons to pack all their lots and leave the woman alone. The demons began to remove invisible objects from the woman's head, stomach, hands and legs. I was registering progress in my heart. I demanded that evil covenant be broken in Jesus'name. It was a battle indeed, though it was one sided, with demons not matching up with God's power.

I learnt a few worthy issues in that encounter. 1. That deliverance requires patience from both parties, the deliverer(man of God) and the delivered(demon possessed victim). 2. Demons are good at defocusing the deliverer to buy time to remain in their victim. 3. During the process of deliverance, the victim may become weary physically and must be given time to recuperate without necessarily giving demons time to reorganize for a counter attack. 4. Deliverance sometimes comes as a process not an event. 5. The word of God should be ministered to the victim during the lengthy process. 6. The sinners prayer or the salvation prayer, can be administered several times into a victim depending with the resistance of the demons. 7. The best time for that prayer is when the victim has regained their mental balance. 8. Demons do not like the name, Jesus, take advantage!
