The parable of The Pipeline
Lessons from the parable of The
Pipeline by Burke Hedges.
·
Bruno,
like most people, wasted time clinging onto a job, on the grounds that it
offers security while forgoing the opportunity to create systems that could
bring perpetual income in a lifetime.
·
Good
decision making is crucial when facing projects that affect humanity.
·
People
should not trade off their valuable time for small, temporary monetary gains.
The time, once lost may never be recovered. Bruno was physically spent at a
time, he needed money the most. It was a case of misplaced priorities and
goals.
·
Determination
and focus yield success. Pablo was more determined to get the project going and
he never lost focus.
·
Most
partnerships crumble because of greediness. Bruno was greedy and could not
listen to Pablo. He wanted to pursue personal agenda, buying a cow.
·
Houses
and cars that do not generate lifelong income are liabilities. This was the
case with Brunos assets that failed to give the cover he dearly required at the
point of need.
·
Some
risks are worthy taking, if there is need to save humanity. Pablo balanced this
act.
·
Most
long term projects seem unattainable, consume more resources in the initial
stages but eventually they are worth the effort. When Pablo started digging, it
seemed an impossible mission. When he completed the task everyone enjoyed the
sacrifice.
·
Projects
require will power from their sponsors. Proper emotional intelligence kept
Pablo’s will power intact.
·
Do
not work for money, let money work for you by employing the right technologies
(Pablo’s pipeline) to lessen human effort and labour hours in order to conquer
life challenges.
